In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
