Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
