While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff spot earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the postseason after a two-year absence.

With this result, the Seahawks now lead their division's race with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Los Angeles, who dropped to the number five seed with an 11-4 standing.

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the tying TD to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The visitors held a 13-7 advantage at the break before Walker broke free for a long touchdown run for Seattle.

Rams cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for a big return, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the next play.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful conversion sent the game into an extra period.

Although Nacua scored for his another touchdown in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
