It's tough for Australia to break new ground.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has won it all.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

What is certain is this century was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it's been a challenging time because I feel like I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive nature take over and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and after that Healy was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
